The UN also expressed concern over renewed attacks that have killed and injured civilians in both Ukraine and Russia.
In Ukraine, Russian strikes reportedly caused civilian casualties and damaged homes and critical infrastructure, while authorities in Russia also reported deaths following Ukrainian drone attacks. Humanitarian agencies warned that continued hostilities are placing increasing pressure on civilians already enduring years of conflict.
UN officials reiterated that all parties must comply with international humanitarian law and take every possible measure to protect civilian lives.
